This year in the staff of the National park there appeared the specialists
on ecological education, Skosyrskaya Olga and Shrager Lubov. The have
been working in this sphere for 10 years. This is the freshman year
for Makoveeva Natalia, the park's Methodist on ecological education.
The department of ecological education is fooled by modern computer
equipment, maintained by the programmer Suraeva Veronica. The department
also has video and photo equipment.
The direction of activity of the department are various with their specific
peculiarities. The Zabaikalsky National Park is a "village park",
located far from big cities. The peculiarity is that practically all
the schools and other children establishments at a varying degree are
involved in he sphere of ecological education. The National Park guides
the activity of the ecological center "Podlemorje" (Ust-Barguzin),
organizes ecological camps in its own territory, holds and takes part
in different ecological measures: seminars , conferences, disputes,
Marches of Parks etc.
Organization and holding of
set-out seminars in he schools of the region is considered to be the
most prospective and successful measure. The most popular topics, discussed
during the seminars , are "The Zabaikalsky National Park and its
nature protection activity"; "Nature protection abroad";
"The nature protection of the Baikal region"; "Knowledge
about Baikal" and others. The seminars are hold with the use of
modern audio- and videoequipment with the show of slidefilms, photo
expositions, visual aids and manuals. At the department there constantly
functions the Lyceum for the schoolchildren of the Ust-Barguzin secondary
school
.
The specialists of the department organize excursions, take part in
projecting and working out of training and ecological trails, render
methodical assistance to teachers, organize practices for the students
of vatious educational institutions, maintain contacts with different
russian and foreign public organizations, keep on the qualification
increase of the inspectors, work with mass-media, work out visual aids
and manuals etc.
